MeetingIL Privacy Policy

What MeetingIL stores - on your Mac only

• Audio recordings of your meetings (your microphone and your Mac's system audio, as two separate files plus a combined one), in a folder you choose.
• Transcripts generated from those recordings, stored next to the audio.
• Session metadata (date, duration, detected language, speaker labels and any names you assign) in small files alongside the recordings.
• Settings and your consent record (the date and version of the recording-responsibility notice you accepted) in the app's preferences.
• Your license key and trial start date in the macOS Keychain, marked device-only. They are never synced to iCloud or anywhere else.

All processing - transcription, speaker separation, language detection - happens on your Mac's own processor. No audio, transcript, or fragment of either is ever uploaded, to us or to anyone.

MeetingIL keeps each recording in full, from the moment it starts until it stops. An optional setting can trim a recording to the call itself; it is off by default, and even when it is on, the full recording is kept.

You can delete any or all of your data at any time: individual sessions from the Library, or everything by deleting the app's folders. The optional retention setting can do this automatically on a schedule you choose. We never see your data, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

The two times MeetingIL connects to the internet

1. Downloading speech models (during setup). The app downloads the AI models it runs locally (about 2.2 GB, including the speaker-separation models) from Hugging Face (huggingface.co and its content servers). This is a plain download: no identifier, no account, and nothing about you is sent - the same as downloading a file in your browser.

2. Verifying your license (only when you press Activate). When you enter a license key, the app sends the key and the product identifier to Gumroad (api.gumroad.com), our sales platform, to confirm the purchase. No machine identifier, no email, and no usage data are sent by the app. After activation succeeds, the license server is never contacted again - not at launch, not while recording, not on any schedule.

That's the complete list. If a future version ever adds a network feature, this policy will change first and the app will say so plainly.

Things that look like network activity but aren't ours

• First-launch verification by macOS (Gatekeeper and notarization) is performed by Apple's operating system, under Apple's privacy policy. Every notarized Mac app gets it.
• "Summarize with your AI" actions place text on your clipboard and open an app you chose. What that app does with the text is governed by its privacy policy, not this one. MeetingIL sends nothing anywhere itself.
• Purchasing happens on Gumroad's website in your browser, under Gumroad's privacy policy. The app never handles your payment details.

Your responsibility as the person recording

MeetingIL is a tool that records conversations. The laws on recording vary by country and region, and complying with them - including telling participants when required - is your responsibility as the user. The app shows a permanent red indicator in the menu bar during every recording, and offers an optional reminder to notify participants. This is also presented in the app before first use.

What we collect about you

Nothing. We have no servers receiving app data, no analytics SDK, no user accounts. If you email support, we'll have your email and what you wrote. That's the only personal information TC Digital ever holds about MeetingIL users, and we use it only to help you.

Children

MeetingIL is a professional tool, sold to adults, and not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be posted at this address with a new version number and effective date, and the app will present material changes to the recording-consent notice for re-acceptance.
